Doggie Street Festival

Stop by the Doggie Street Festival, an adopt-a-thon and fun celebration of our companion animals, at Steele Indian School Park in Phoenix from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The fest presents fantastic pet products and services, yummy eats, vet tips, speakers, music, a kid’s area, auction prizes and much more. Connect2STEM 2019

The University of Arizona in partnership with Cox Communications, presents Connect2STEM 2019. One of the largest STEM events in Arizona, it’s free and focused on inspiring kids about science, technology, engineering, math and medicine with 100-plus hands-on activities; guests can commandeer a robot, learn how to suture real-looking skin, explore real space equipment and network with STEM professionals. The fourth annual Connect2STEM will take place 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the UA College of Medicine in Downtown Phoenix. Register here.

Tween/Teen Night at AZ Air Time

From 8 to 11 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, all tweens and teens, ages 12 and up, are invited to AZ Air Time trampoline park in Scottsdale to enjoy exciting dodgeball tournaments, dancing contests and jumping on the indoor trampolines and into foam pits. This supervised nighttime play is perfect for parents who are looking for a safe, indoor place for their older kids to spend time on weekend evenings. Cost is $15 for three hours.

Through May 12, check out the desert as it's drenched in light and sound in a mesmerizing display like never before with Klip Collective’s Electric Desert at Desert Botanical Garden. The cacti and desert become a living canvas during this limited-time nighttime experience. Ticket prices vary.

The Electric Guitar: Inventing an American Icon at Musical Instrument Museum

Musical Instrument Museum has welcomed an exclusive new exhibition that is an ode to the instrument that revolutionized music—and pop culture, as a whole. The Electric Guitar: Inventing an American Icon spotlights more than 80 of the rarest electric guitars and amplifiers in the world, including the instruments of rock royalty, like Pete Townshend and Bo Diddley. This exciting exhibition is on display through Sept. 15. In addition to admission to MIM, tickets to The Electric Guitar: Inventing an American Icon are $7 ($10 for special exhibition only).
