Today You Are One Month Old

I can’t believe my first-born is turning two. Like you, I’m sure, I constantly ask myself: where does the time go?

My life has made a 360 since becoming a mom. I am no longer waking up at 2:30am to report on the morning news; instead, my days are full of not missing any firsts, having become a proud and blessed work at home mom.  I wouldn’t have it any other way.

My first-born, Nicholas, is now an older brother. I look at him and wonder how he has morphed into such an independent little boy.

Gender Prediction Myths Debunked

rsz_timthumbphp.jpgWe didn't find out.  Both times, we refrained from joining team blue or team pink--we ceased and savored the anticipation of surprise.

Granted, I was curious, and was surely tempted to see if Baby Bubeck (#1 and #2) was a boy or girl...but I never gave in. And truth be told, it didn't matter. After a rough first pregnancy, all I wanted was to birth healthy babies.

With that being said, it didn't stop me from doing girl-or-boy research on the web. And all I found was a bunch of useless information. Regardless, if you're preggo, it's still fun to do some gender prediction due diligence.

Running a household in the Valley – or anywhere – can be pretty overwhelming.  Kids. House. Work. Spouse. And don’t forget that “me” time that’s so important!  It’s nearly impossible to check off all your daily to-do’s. Clean. Cook. Clean more.  Cook more. Throw changing a handful of dirty diapers in, some scheduled time to work from home (or go to work,) maybe walk a dog?  If you’re like me, the first task to slip through the cracks is usually cleaning the house.  I “straighten up” several times per day.
