AZ Giving Spotlight: Chris Meyer of Colton’s Vision

Colton’s Vision is an organization based on helping children born with Microphthalmia, leaving the child nearly, if not completely blind. After a personal experience with the disease and his newborn son, Chris Meyer decided to help others in need of medical support for this disease. AFM: Why did you decide to create this organization?

CM: We have a 2-year-old son Colton that was born with Microphtalmia. This

Becky Chase, the current president of Bosom Buddies, opens up to AZFoothills.com about her personal role in this nonprofit. The organization is based on volunteer survivors of cancer who meet regularly to support others facing the same battle. Due to the ill health of the remaining founders, Chase stepped in as the president after having been on the Board of Directors since 2009.

As one of the only organizations that specifically targets those of African descent, The Coalition of Blacks Against Breast Cancer helps those dealing with the struggles of cancer.
