Friends of Animal Care and Control (FACCS)

Mission: FACCs—Friends of Animal Care & Control is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. As a “friends of” group, our goal is to raise money to support Maricopa County Animal Care & Control (MCACC). You might be surprised to learn that only 4% of MCACC’s operating budget comes from taxpayer money. The remainder comes from dog license fees, adoptions and service contracts. For any programs beyond MCACC’s basic care and control functions, it must rely on donations from the public. As the fundraising agent for Maricopa County Animal Care & Control, FACCs provides a valuable service by supporting their non-mandated programs. The largest (and we believe most important) of these programs is SNAP (Spay/Neuter Assistance Program). SNAP provides no-cost spay and neuter services to low-income residents of Maricopa County.
