I do love going to the outdoor Sunset Beach bar on the W's second floor. Its great for people watching, and nice to sit outside with good music in the background and drink in hand. It's a mid-30's crowd, so if that's not your thing, the W isn't for you.
The location of the W is also fantastic; close to Fashion Square and plenty of dining. Due to Scottsdale's spread out urban planning, its not common to be in walking distance of, well, anything, so visitors willenjoy that the W is close enough to walk to other venues. I also really enjoy the modern style of the whole hotel. I have heard that the rooms can be a bit noisy though, since they are located above the big outdoor bar area I like so much. But again, it's for an active, younger crown, who probably shouldn't mind a bit of noice.
