Sep. 25, 2014 at Taco Guild. Leading up to the Arizona Taco Festival (October 18-19 at Salt River Fields), six Valley artists and restaurants are participating in an art competition and event series produced by Tequila Herradura and festival organizers. This gallery features artist Angel Diaz. Participating restaurants were each given a barrel head from the Tequila Herradura distillery. Each party will feature a special cocktail crafted with Tequila Herradura. On the date of the final party, all barrels will appear on the Herradura Facebook page, where online voting will commence until Oct. 18. On the second day of the Arizona Taco Festival, Oct. 19, attendees will have a final chance to cast votes at the Herradura Festival Tent. The winning artist will receive a $1,000 prize.
