Childhelp

Since its founding in 1959 by Sara O' Meara and Yvonne Fedderson, Childhelp has become one of the United States' oldest and largest national nonprofits dedicated to the treatment and prevention of child abuse and neglect. Arizona is home to the Childhelp National Headquarters, as well as:

The Childhelp Children's Center of Arizona (Phoenix)

The center, which opened in 1998, utilizes a highly effective, one-stop approach to the investigation and treatment of child abuse. The child-friendly environment and team approach with law enforcement, medical and mental health professionals, and child protective services officials, increases efficiency while minimizing the trauma to the child.

Childhelp Children's Mobile Advocacy Center of Northern Arizona

A partnership with Safe Child Center at Flagstaff Medical Center, the Childhelp Children's Mobile Advocacy Center of Northern Arizona provides a variety of services to abused children in rural and tribal communities. The first of its kind in Arizona, the mobile center offers one-stop multidisciplinary services at selected locations in Northeastern Arizona, reducing investigation time and trauma for abuse victims and their non-offending family members.
