Notre Dame Preparatory High School

Now commencing its eighth year, Notre Dame Preparatory High School is committed to building the minds, bodies, and souls of young adults by integrating faith into a challenging college preparatory curriculum that promotes academic excellence, instills moral values, and encourages lifelong service. Building minds, bodies and souls - our assignment is to do God’s will.

Building Minds:

The Class of 2009 was awarded nearly $ 4 million in college scholarships from prestigious universities nationwide. These students are being accepted at the finest universities including Stanford, Brown, Duke, University of Southern California, UCLA, and the University of Notre Dame. Our students have included National Merit finalists, Semifinalists and Commended Scholars and National Hispanic Scholars. They have achieved highest honors in the national Word Masters Challenge and at the American Mathematics Contest. An outstanding combination of academic achievement and athleticism led to 141 NDP students to be named Scholar Athletes in 2009. In May 2008, the Notre Dame chapter of Students Against Drunk Driving (SADD) won $5,000 in a nationwide contest to generate awareness of teen driving safety. Additionally, NDP students have been selected on the basis of their academic records and high moral character to participate in the Phoenix Youth and Education Commission, Valley Teen Leadership, and the National Youth Leadership Forum of Defense, Intelligence, Diplomacy, and Medicine.

Building Bodies:

Notre Dame's athletic programs continue to flourish with the many impressive accomplishments of our teams and individual athletes under the direction of the school's staff of dedicated coaches. The 2008-2009 school year was another phenomenal year of achievements that included winning state team championship titles in football (second consecutive win), boys golf, girls golf, girls tennis, girls soccer, boys track, performance cheer, and pom. The school’s baseball team had a season record of 29-1 and was ranked #2 in the U.S. by Baseball America. NDP athletes also won individual state titles in 2009 in boys golf, girls golf, girls tennis, girls swimming and boys track and field. The school’s baseball team had a season record of 29-1 and was ranked #2 in the U.S. by Baseball America. In 2007, the NDP ice hockey team was the first Arizona high school to win the Rocky Mountain regional championship, a feat the Saints team repeated in 2008.

NDP also captured individual state titles in golf and boys and girls tennis in 2008. That year, the cheer squad placed second in the nation. NDP athletes have competed in AIA State Championship Tournaments in 15 varsity sports and two club sports and have also placed highly at the Regional level in several sports. The boys’ golf team was the school’s first team to win a State Championship title at the AIA 4A level. NDP’s golf team and pom squad were state runners up in 2006 and 2007 before winning championship titles in 2008.

Building Souls:
Our students actively contribute to our campus and to our community with the support of many generous parents and teachers. While NDP students are required to serve our community by completing a schedule of Christian Service hours, we are also blessed with many wonderful students who go above and beyond the requirements. NDP students contribute thousands of Christian Service hours each year to their churches and to organizations including Habitat for Humanity, Hands Across the Border, Special Olympics, and the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, to name but a few. One student served as an ambassador to China as part of the Phoenix Sister Cities Program. Students in each grade level participate in an annual retreat, where a day of reflection gives them an opportunity to share and to gather with their peers. For many families, the gathering of NDP students and their parents at our Annual Communion Breakfast becomes a treasured memory.
