What a nice guy. American Idol hopeful and Scottsdale resident Scott MacIntyre was booted last night, April 8, from the country's biggest karaoke contest. The top 8 sang "songs from the year you were born."

Scott got the ax after playing the guitar and singing "The Search Is Over", originally released in 1985. The inspirational singer/piano player was the first-ever legally blind contestant. Though he certainly wasn't the best singer the show has ever seen, he represented the state of AZ in a supremely classy way. Now, Adam Lambert or bust!
