Arizona Foothills learned that the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism is to announce later today that Brian Williams of NBC News will be the 2009 recipient of the Walter Cronkite Award for Excellence in Journalism!

They've never had an incumbent network news anchor as the Cronkite Award recipient. Williams will be honored later this year at the lunch which will now be held at the Downtown Sheraton.
