Description
Boutique Travel Advisors, a luxury travel company based in Scottsdale with offices in southern California, is pleased to present the first-ever Navigation for a Cause on Friday, Nov. 15 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Volanti in the Scottsdale Airpark.
The evening of gourmet food, live music and dancing will also feature both a silent auction and raffle program with items including exclusive travel experiences, luxury cruise sailings and dining experiences. The proceeds will raise critical funds for Chase Rauchle PTSD Now (PTSD Now), a nonprofit focused on radically improving the veteran mental healthcare system and reduce suicide among U.S. Military personnel by advocating for better prevention, identification, and treatment of depression, stress and post-traumatic stress disorder.
“PTSD Now educates policymakers, develops improved military protocols, and funds specialized counseling services for veterans,” said Angie Rice, co-founder of Boutique Travel Advisors. “At the heart of Boutique Travel Advisors, we believe travel can be a transformative and healing modality by empowering and inspiring individuals and fostering social and cultural understanding on a collective level. By partnering with PTSD Now, we are helping contribute to their mission of enhancing veterans’ well-being through access to mental health treatments, resources and support upon returning home from duty, safe and sound.”
For Boutique Travel Advisors, the cause is also a personal one.
“Since our inception, in addition to planning premium, ultra-luxury travel experiences for our clients, we have also incorporated philanthropy into our clients’ itineraries, allowing travelers to give back to local communities if they are so inclined,” said Rice. “This event is an extension of this philanthropic arm, focused on helping our partners, sponsors, team members, friends and the community-at-large to give back with us in a meaningful and fun way. We intentionally support causes that align with our five Pillars of Community: joy, wellbeing, connection, sustainability and gratitude.”
Craig and Julie Rauchle, founders of PTSD Now and residents of Scottsdale, are serving as the inaugural event’s honorary chairs. Their son, Chase, was a staff sergeant in the Army National Guard who suffered from PTSD after his tours of duty as a gunner in Afghanistan. After numerous failed attempts to receive help, Chase took his own life on September 9, 2019. His parents have made it their mission to raise awareness and money, locally and nationally, in honor of Chase.
Tickets for the event start at $150. Sponsorships range from $1,500 to $10,000.
“This event would not be possible without our generous partners and sponsors, that to date include Silversea Cruises, H|X (Hurtigruten Expeditions), Arch RoamRight and RBN Rewards” said Rice.
