Description
The Arizona Animal Welfare League’s largest annual fundraiser – The Walk to Save Animals – has announced there’ll be a groovy mood at this year’s event!
More than 3,000 people and dogs in tie-dyed shirts and bandanas will twist-and-shout their way through the ‘60s-themed “Peace Love Adopt March!” at Tempe Town Lake on Saturday, Nov. 3, to raise money for the 4,000 homeless animals rescued, rehabilitated and re-homed by the state’s oldest and largest no-kill shelter every year.
The 2k and 5k walk starts and ends at Tempe Town Lake, where you’ll also find a pet goods marketplace, agility and lure course demonstrations, low-cost microchipping and ID tag booth, pictures with Santa, food trucks and good vibes.
