Back-to-School Health Fair Saturday, July 14, Hosted by UnitedHealthcare Community Plan & Isaac School District to provide families back-to-school support
- The first 1,000 students through the doors will receive complimentary backpacks filled with school supplies
- Families benefit from no-cost immunizations, health screenings for adults and children, sports physicals, student haircuts and social service connections
WHAT: The 14th Annual UnitedHealthcare Back-to-School Health Fair at Isaac Middle School will prepare children and their families for the upcoming school year with health and wellness offerings under one roof.
Courtesy of UnitedHealthcare Community Plan, Isaac School District and the Phoenix Fire Department Baby Shots immunization program, this event - attended in previous years by thousands of students and family members - will offer complimentary backpacks to the first 1,000 children to arrive. Additionally, children under the age of 18 can receive immunizations, dental and fluoride varnish screenings, sports physicals and haircuts at no cost. Adults and children will receive basic medical screenings including cholesterol, glucose, hearing, blood pressure and BMI.
There will be music and entertainment, including an appearance by UnitedHealthcare mascot Dr. Health E. Hound. Information will be available on medical benefit enrollment, community resources and school enrollment packets for Isaac Middle School students.
