Spanish Harlem Orchestra brings New-York-style Salsa to the Musical Instrument Museum 

Two-time Grammy Award-winning band Spanish Harlem Orchestra (SHO), setsTwo-time Grammy Award-winning band Spanish Harlem Orchestra (SHO), sets the standard for excellence in authentic, New York-style, hard-core salsa. With dynamic arrangements and pulsating rhythms filled with authentic salsa tradition, the thirteen-piece band has earned a reputation as the true voice of the barrio. In the 1970s, he performed with salsa legends including Tito Puente, Machito, Celia Cruz, and Ray Barretto; was the musical director for Paul Simon; and was an orchestrator and arranger for Gloria Estefan. SHO’s stage energy and organic and vintage sound create an unparalleled musical experience.
