Beat the heat this summer and join in the fun for a free indoor, interactive, all ages event featuring giant spiral graphs, tiny bubble art, a roomba that draws, tattoo art, robotics, mandalas, doodling, a community mural and more in the Gallery at Tempe Center for the Arts.

The “DRAW-A-THON” is a free, interactive, one-day celebration of all things drawing for all ages. For anyone who loves to draw, doodle, create and play or just looking for family fun, the “draw-a-thon” has something for everyone.

10 a.m. – 10 p.m. on Saturday, June 23                               

Schedule:

10 am – 2 pm:   Family focused activities – artist demos, mandalas, giant spiral graphs, bubble art, Zines/handmade sketch books, community mural, building bricks, Pictionary and more

2 pm – 6 pm:      Teen focused activities – Tempe High School robotics team demonstrations (including a robot that draws), fashion design, monster drawings – learn how to draw characters like Frankenstein, Anime, using light to draw temporary images in the air, Architectural drawing techniques and tools and more

6 pm – 10 pm:   Adult focused activities – artist demos, activities with artists including word art, drawing life forms with a live costumed model, local tattoo artist, live music, community mural and more
