Description
On Dec. 17, Arizona Animal Welfare League is hosting a kid-friendly day of giving that includes dogs in costumes/winter wear, Santa, cookies with milk and a chance to teach kiddos how to be charitable.
The shelter has set up a “Secret Elf” tree allows someone to pick a donation tag (valued between $10 and $500) off the tree and then personally place that tag on an adoptable dog or cat’s kennel.
This will go toward the dog’s adoption fee and continued care while it waits for its forever family.
The event takes place at 25 N. 40th St. (Washington and 40th streets) between 11:30 a.m. and 3 p.m.
The shelter is also waiving ALL adoption fees for adult dogs this Friday through Sunday – an adult is any dog over 1 year old.
