Join us for the Inaugural Exhibition, “Escape the Madness” at the new Grotto Gallery brought to you by the Arizona Artisans Collective. Located in the heart of downtown Tempe, the show will feature ten emerging local artisans with works in sculpture, photography, oil and pastel, enameled metal, turned wood, illustration, handmade glass, and jewelry.Wed. & Thu. from 12-5pm.  Edgar Hernandez will be one of the local artisans featured. Edgar is a contemporary expressionist sculptor from Chandler Arizona whose pieces are the products of a highly complex artistic process – manipulating colors, feelings and expressions that result in unique and original works of great visual power. “I distort reality to express my deepest feelings. You can see the beauty of the misery thru my characters,” said Edgar. Pictured is a close-up of one of three characters in the “Metamorphosis” piece by Mr. Hernandez.
