Kizer FTD Dementia Awareness Foundation, a not-for-profit foundation dedicated to Fronto Temporal Dementia (FTD) awareness presents the 2nd Annual Heart and Sol Celebrity Golf Tournament hosted by Former Major League Pitcher, Russ Ortiz.

This annual fundraiser was created in honor of Yolanda Collazos Kizer, a small business owner and community leader who was diagnosed with FTD in 2012. FTD is a neurological disease usually strikes people at a younger age than Alzheimer’s, often in the prime of life. With a 5 – 7 year life expectancy after diagnosis, this disease has no cure and little to no treatment. Now it is the Kizer family’s mission to spread the word about FTD.

In partnership with the Banner Alzheimer’s Institute, proceeds from the event will be used for research, to educate the community and to support for patients and caregivers affected by this disease.
