Alvadora Spa is Spa-tacular!

Alvadora-Spa-at-the-Royal-Palms

The property and pool at Royals Palms are divine – and check out that view!

When was the last time you had a spa day? I put my to-do list on hold and headed to Alvadora Spa at Royal Palms for a much-needed day of pampering. Ahhh…. It’s amazing how just a few hours at the spa can feel like a mini-vacation, especially when it’s a spa-tacular spa! Alvadora scored As across the board. Read on for all the delightful details…

Test #1: Do I feel relaxed as soon as I walk in
YES! In fact, that relaxed feeling started even before I entered the spa. The Royal Palms is an oasis within an oasis. Just driving into the lush, Spanish-inspired sanctuary, my shoulders relaxed, my breathing slowed and my forehead creases decreased. The grounds are green and gor-geous, and feel far removed from Phoenix for instant calm.

Test #2: Does the spa smell like heaven
A resounding yes! One of the best-smelling spas, ever. The soothing scent of eucalyptus wafts through the air, especially in the eucalyptus steam room, which is a must!

Test #3: Does the lounge (aka: chill room) meet all my relaxation needs
Yes, and more! Any spa worth its salt scrub has fruit-infused water, fancy teas and inviting loungers. Alvadora had that, plus fresh fruit and mixed nuts (I always get the munchies at the spa), and a slew of recent magazines (a must!). The flowy curtains are also a nice touch.

Test #4: Does the spa menu have me drooling
Oh yes! The spa menu was total porn for me… like 50 Shades of Spa. I got so sucked in by the exotic and enticing details; it was impossible to pick just one service (don’t you hate it when that happens?). The finalists: the 90-minute Citrus Grove Facial (I’m a sucker for citrus… and fab facials!) and the Essenza di Eucalyptus Pedicure. Both lived up to their divine descriptions.

Test #5: Do I leave feeling polished, pampered and glowing
Check, check, check! I sashayed out of there with a fresh coat of periwinkle toe polish, a radiant glow to my skin and feeling like a true pampered princess!

I am also a big of the Alvadora Spa at the Royal Palms. The location on Camelback Road with views of the mountain are a perfect backdrop for relaxing, I know of the Spa from personal experience. About 5 years ago, I would go there regularly for haircuts and massage and lounge by the hotel pool for lunch.

Great article! Keep sharing the health and wellness aspects that make the Valley of the Sun (Spa) a great place to live and to visit.
