Tommy Bahama Reinvents Swimwear With Confidence-First 2026 Collection

Swimwear gets a refresh in the upcoming 2026 collection from Tommy Bahama, a lineup built around a simple idea: great swim is less about exposure and more about feeling. Designed to move through every stage of life, the collection emphasizes confidence, comfort and silhouettes that flatter without compromise.

At the heart of the collection is a wide range of reimagined swim styles, from flexible tankinis and supportive bralettes to skirted suits, skorts and modern one-pieces with shaping details. Reversible designs add versatility for travel and packing, while built-in UPF 30 protection ensures each piece delivers function alongside style.

“Surprisingly Sexy” leads one of the key trend directions, focusing on swimwear that enhances natural shape without relying on minimal coverage. Pieces like the pearl solids double strap halter with high-waist bottom in rossovivo red highlight structured design details, while the tropi flora reversible halter brings mix-and-match versatility. The deepsea stripe bandeau one-piece adds built-in support and removable straps. Texture plays a defining role throughout the collection, particularly in the Island Cays Cabana line.

“Texture is so important in swimwear currently and our Island Cays Pique is a guest favorite. Island Cays Cabana Collection is designed with contrast binding and signature bow details,” Bradley O’Brien, Executive Vice President of Product Design and Development, said. “The hand feel is extremely soft and has a flattering drape. It has quickly become an iconic fabrication for us.”

The collection also explores performance-driven “Sporty Swim” pieces designed for movement. Styles like the ocean stripe long-sleeve one-piece offer UPF protection and full-zip functionality, while coordinated sets such as the beach wave one-piece paired with printed pareos are designed for beach-to-boardwalk ease. Adjustable bikinis and supportive fits also cater to mobility and security.

The John Robshaw x Tommy Bahama Artist Series 2026 collection infuses swimwear with globally inspired textile artistry. Known for his intricate block prints, Robshaw draws on Javanese batik influences to create reversible bikinis, one-pieces and rash guards layered with florals and color contrasts that evoke an island.

The Cabana Wardrobe concept extends the collection beyond swimwear, offering coordinated cover-ups and resort-ready layers. From high-waisted sets and eyelet dresses to sustainable recycled nylon pieces in palm prints, the line is designed to transition seamlessly from water to warm-weather outings.

Leopard print accents and bead detailing add a playful edge to relaxed silhouettes, reinforcing the brand’s signature laid-back luxury. Tommy Bahama continues to evolve its swimwear offering into something more lifestyle-driven; pieces designed not just for the beach, but for every sun-filled moment in between.
