Aren't you darling? You're going to be gangbusters.
Here are some tips from MayoClinic.com to keeping proper posture and preventing painful back problems by maintaining healthy work environments:
Proper Typing Posture
When seated, there are a few tips you can use to be sure you have the best posture.
- Choose a chair that allows you to rest both feet flat on the floor, while keeping knees level to your hips. Use a foot stool if you must.
- Sit with your back firmly against your chair. If you need to, use a cushion or rolled towel behind the curve of your back.
- Stretch the top of your head toward the ceiling and tuck your chin in slightly.
- Keep your upper back and neck comfortably straight.
- Keep your shoulders relaxed- not elevated, rounded or pulled backward.
Adapt Your Work Environment
- Plan Your Moves. Reorganize your work to eliminate high-risk, repetitive movements.
- Listen to Your Body. If you must sit for a long time, change your position often. Try tricks like standing when you answer the phone, or stretching periodically.
