I recently stumbled upon this blog about how to re-use the plastic eggs left over from Easter. I don’t know about you but we have about 200 left over this year, the remnants from 5 kids. When I saw this super cute idea it immediately caught my attention. All you need is the left over plastic Easter eggs, popcorn kernels, plastic spoons, white tape, sharpie markers and a little bit of creativity. Of course there is always room for substitutions on this project such as colored duct tape in place of white tape and sharpies, uncooked rice in lieu of popcorn kernels, the possibilities are endless. You can read more about this on Dana Made It.

I recently did this project with my daughter’s entire 2nd grade class and it was a breeze. I’m pretty sure the other mom-helpers and I got just as much enjoyment out of making these as the kids. Of course the sombreros we brought in didn't hurt!

These piñatas are so simple, all you need are the pointed paper cups, ribbon, glue (elmers and hot glue gun) streamers and whatever "treat" you want to use to load it up. Markers, stickers, and other embellishments are also a plus (we used different shapes and colors of buttons from Wal-mart). The full tutorial is available on One Charming Party.
