Embassy Suites Phoenix - Biltmore is sponsoring a competition to create a new focal point to be painted of the hotel's atrium. The abstract representation should show Arizona's centennial in a timeless matter. Local artists may submit no more than three designs for consideration, now through January 9th of next year. Along with the hotel management, a select panel of judges will choose the winner. The winning artist will get the opportunity to have their work seen among thousands of people along with a $500 scholarship and a weekend stay at any Hilton property available. On January 23rd, the winner will be announced and begin their artwork on January 30th for a grand unveiling ceremony on February 14th. Embassy Suites Phoenix - Biltmore will be providing all the materials for the final project.

"Arizona has been noted for its artist's communities and we are excited to work with local artists to commemorate the spirit of out great state. This is an ideal opportunity for local artists to have their work seen by thousands of people as well as receive a scholarship," general manager of Embassy Suites Phoenix - Biltmore, Valarie Miceli, says. 

With the competition open to all of the Valley's artists, students currently enrolled in accredited post-secondary Fine Arts Program with the intent of continuing their arts education are encouraged to submit.
