SHERATON CRESCENT HOTEL CELEBRATES FIRST ANNIVERSARY OF 3RD THURSDAYS LIVE MUSIC SERIES TO BENEFIT EAR CANDY
Gather for a night under stars with a silent auction and live music by The Waters to benefit charity
WHAT: On the third Thursday in October 2011, Sheraton Crescent celebrates its first anniversary of 3rd Thursdays LIVE, a monthly, live music series to benefit Ear Candy. Ear Candy recognizes that Arizona is currently ranked amongst the lowest in the states in per person educational funding with arts programs, including music, usually first to be eliminated. The 3rd Thursdays LIVE music series originated as a way for the hotel, guests, and locals to embrace live music while creatively supporting the foundation of how music and the arts can enhance children’s education.
This special one-year anniversary event takes place at Sheraton Crescent under a spacious outdoor pavilion where European elegance meets a casual, Southwestern ambience. The event features live music by The Waters, a Phoenix-based musical project consisting of singer and songwriter Krystal Baker and guitarist Sturgis Waters. The Waters have been a part of the hotel’s year-long music series attracting a sizeable crowd during each third Thursday performance held at Sheraton Crescent.
With a vast selection of silent auction items – most of which are vacations to desired destinations – this one-year anniversary event offers pleasant perks for those who bid on the items as wells for the charity. All of the silent auction proceeds will directly contribute to the Ear Candy mission.
Throughout the fundraising event, guests have the opportunity to enjoy delicious food and beverage specials served from the hotel’s restaurant, Indigo Bistro.
