EXTRA EXTRA!

The family of Dan and Paige Wheeler will be hosting a lemonade stand Saturday, April 16, 2011, in support of their friend Kallie Rebholz who has brain cancer. Friends and Family of the Wheeler family, school friends of Dan and Paige Wheeler's daughter Ashten and ASU Football players will be there supporting the cause.

The lemonade will be delicious and healthy and the family will be taking photos and scrapbooking photos of the event to send to Kallie. The stand will open Saturday, April 16, at 1 p.m. The house is located on the SW corner of 62nd Street and Exeter, which is two blocks south of Camelback.

Some brief information about Kallie:

Kallie Rebholz is an amazing, intelligent, and beautiful little girl. She is 10 years old and lives in Scottsdale.

Kallie was diagnosed with brain cancer in September 2010. She had an operation to remove part of her cancerous tumor on September 16th. Kallie began chemotherapy treatments at Phoenix Children’s Hospital in October. She progressed well until a major setback occurred on January 8th of this year. She suffered septic shock from an infection and her heart stopped for four minutes until being revived after the doctors performed CPR. Kallie had her right leg amputated in the process and will now be on permanent dialysis.

Kallie faces a very long road to recovery but has a strong will to survive. She is truly an inspiration and I believe her to be an angel. Her smile is contagious and you will never come across a more loving and caring child. She adores animals and loves to sing.
