What used to be an old 19th century mining camp turned ghost town is now a rustic luxury escape. Situated between Durango and Telluride within the breathtaking San Juan Mountains of the Colorado Rockies, Dunton Hot Springs evokes the twang of the old Wild West. The 13 hand-hewn homestead cabins at Dunton are equipped with rain-forest showers, heated floors and soft linens. Besides lavishing in indoor and outdoor hot springs, guests can also enjoy activities alfresco, such as hiking, horseback riding, helicopter skiing, snow shoeing, kayaking and more. In fact, the entire town can be reserved for private use for up to 44 people.

The Little Nell, Aspen

The Little Nell in downtown Aspen is the only ski-in, ski-out hotel with direct access to the Aspen Mountains and is close to other popular ski areas, such as the Aspen Highlands, Snowmass and Buttermilk. While Little Nell is boutique in size with 92 rooms, it’s big in service, earning its place as a AAA 5-Diamond hotel. Little Nell has also been cited as one of the best mountain resorts in America from Travel and Leisure magazine’s reader-selected World’s Best Awards Survey.
