Smart Fit Method will open its first Arizona location November 15 in Paradise Valley, bringing together health assessments, personalized coaching, fitness training and recovery services under one roof. The 3,500-square-foot studio is designed to help members improve strength, mobility and overall well-being.
Smart Fit Method was founded in 2021 by father-and-son team Rob and Connor Darnbrough after Rob, a lifelong competitive athlete, was diagnosed with an aortic aneurysm at age 49. The diagnosis prompted the pair to develop an approach that connects exercise and recovery with long-term health.

“Most fitness programs focus on exercise. We focus on what exercise is supposed to help people do,” co-founder Connor Darnbrough said. “Whether that’s staying active as you age, keeping up with your family, recovering faster, or maintaining your independence, our goal is to help people build a healthier future, not simply complete another workout.”
The Paradise Valley studio will offer Method+, Smart Fit Method’s premier membership, which combines personalized coaching, strength and performance training, advanced technology and recovery services.
Every member begins with a comprehensive assessment that evaluates health, fitness and performance, including body composition analysis. The results help coaches create a personalized plan tailored to each member’s goals, lifestyle and needs.
Members train one-on-one with coaches using adaptive resistance strength training, AI-guided cycling and performance technologies, including OxeFit, Vasper and LivO₂. The facility also features a recovery area with cold plunges at varying temperatures, a sauna, multimodal light therapy, vagus nerve stimulation, hydrogen therapy, BrainTap and compression boots.
To celebrate its Arizona debut, Smart Fit Method is offering a limited Founders Club membership to the first 100 members. Founders Club members will receive preferred pricing on Method+ and waived annual dues. The Paradise Valley studio is the first of two locations. A second location is planned for Scottsdale, with details to be announced at a later date. For more information, visit smartfitmethod.com.
