The Scottsdale Resort & Spa, part of Hilton’s Curio Collection, has appointed Jake Rodriguez as general manager as the historic property celebrates 50 years in Scottsdale. A Phoenix native, Rodriguez brings a background in hotel operations, sales and marketing to the leadership role.
“Its an honor to join the team during such a pivotal year as we look toward the resort’s next 50 years,” Rodriguez said. “As I come into this role, I’m looking forward to what I love most about hospitality, leading and developing a great team. I’m especially excited to work closely with the amazing team to honor the resort’s history, while helping shape what comes next.”
Rodriguez will oversee daily operations, guest experiences and staff across the resort’s 318 guest rooms and suites, as well as its 90,000 square feet of meeting and event space. His appointment comes as the property builds on its connection to the community while continuing to evolve its offerings.
Located in the McCormick Ranch community, The Scottsdale Resort & Spa offers a full-service hospitality experience with multiple dining outlets, Luna Spa, pickleball and a golf simulator, along with access to the nearby McCormick Ranch Golf Club. As the resort enters its next chapter, Rodriguez will help guide its continued development across dining, wellness, golf, events and guest services.
His career spans both hotel operations and sales and marketing. Before joining The Scottsdale Resort & Spa, Rodriguez spent two years as general manager of Canopy by Hilton Tempe Downtown. He previously served as area director of sales for Canopy by Hilton Tempe Downtown and DoubleTree by Hilton Phoenix Tempe.
Throughout his career, Rodriguez has helped open two hotels and oversee two additional hotel conversions while serving in general manager and operations director positions. His work has also earned industry recognition, including Director of Sales of the Year with Remington Hotels and Sales Leader of the Year with Driftwood Hospitality Management.
As the resort marks five decades in the community, Rodriguez will help lead the property into its next 50 years while building on its history and shaping the guest experience for the future. Learn more at hilton.com.
