1. Janelle Monae Concert

Janelle Monae will play at the Marquee Theatre on Saturday, January 11 at 8 p.m.  Monae is an intriguing new arrival in the R&B and music soul scene.  Tickets will cost $37 at the door and $34 pre-sale.  Below is a video of Monae as she performs her hit song “Tightrope.”

2. Disney On Ice: Rockin’ Ever After


Join your favorite Disney Princesses as they skate into their happily ever after in the Disney On Ice: Rockin’ Ever After performance.

From January 18-12, the Rockin’ Ever After performance will come to the US Airways Center.

Showtimes to Know:

Wednesday and Thursday: 7 p.m.
Friday: 10:30 a.m. and 7 p.m.
Saturday: 11:30 a.m., 3:30 p.m., and 7 p.m.
Sunday: 1 p.m. and 4 p.m.

3. Mixology 101 at Jade Bar


Every Saturday night, Jade Bar hosts a fun and interactive cocktail experience.  The Jade Bar mixologist will demonstrate 3 to 4 cocktails, as he shares the tips and techniques behind the scrumptious cocktails.  On January 11, the mixologist will specialize in fun whiskey cocktails.

4. Coyotes vs. Flames


Be sure to come support your Phoenix Coyotes as the play the Flames this Tuesday, January 7.  The game will take place in the arena at 7 p.m.

5. Coyotes vs. Wild


The Phoenix Coyotes will play another game on Thursday, January 9 against the Wild.  The game will take place in the arena at 7 p.m.

6. The Phoenix Symphony: Beethoven’s Symphony No. 5


The performance of Beethoven’s legendary Symphony No. 5 will take place in the Symphony Hall at the Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts on January 9 and 10.  The evening will be an intimate music-filled event you will not want to miss.

7. The Best and the Brightest


On January 10 from 5-7 p.m., Scottsdale Artists School will showcase the student’s finest works of art.  Attendees to the opening reception can enjoy wine and hors d’ouevres as they purchase the student’s unique artwork.

8. Erth’s Dinosaur Zoo


It’s not often people are given the chance to experience the legendary creatures of the prehistoric age.  Attendees will be mesmerized as they view the incredibly life-like creatures that used to roam the world.  Watch as these dinosaurs come to life in front of your eyes at this impeccable performance appropriate for all ages.  People are invited to purchase the Special Dinosaur Petting Zoo Package, which will include premium seating, a meet and greet opportunity and a Dinosaur Zoo merchandise item.

9. Drive the Dream Grand Prix


The Drive the Dream Gala at the Grand Prix will take place on Saturday, January 11 at 5:30 p.m.  All proceeds from the event will benefit Childhelp, an organization that advocates to help abused and neglected children.  Be sure to reserve your table for this fabulous event that also benefits children in need.
