Vandelay Companies is continuing its expansion into Arizona with plans to bring its popular Hudson House restaurant concept to the Valley. The hospitality group recently announced that two locations are slated to open in 2027, marking the brand’s Arizona debut.

The first restaurant will anchor PV, the $2 billion mixed-use development by RED Development, while a second location is planned for Heritage Park, the mixed-use development in downtown Gilbert’s Heritage District. The announcement follows continued progress on Drake’s Hollywood, another Vandelay Companies concept that is scheduled to open in Old Town Scottsdale in fall 2026.
Inspired by the charm of New York City’s West Village, Hudson House has built a following for its blend of East Coast flavors and hospitality. The restaurant combines a nostalgic, polished atmosphere with a menu that balances fresh seafood, comfort food favorites and classic American fare. Guests can expect a raw bar featuring East Coast oysters alongside fish tacos, chicken parmesan and the restaurant’s signature cheeseburger, made with thin-seared patties and its signature house sauce.

The beverage program is anchored by Vandelay’s signature “World’s Coldest Martini.” Available in several variations, the cocktail has become one of the restaurant’s calling cards. Options include the savory Bleu & Gold martini, garnished with house-made blue cheese-stuffed olives, as well as the Stone Fruit martini, which blends peach vodka with white cranberry juice. Combined with weekend brunch service and an inviting bar scene, the concept is designed to offer casual lunches to celebratory evenings out.

“Phoenix is a dynamic, rapidly growing market with a dining scene that perfectly aligns with our vision,” Chairman & CEO Hunter Pond said. “Introducing Hudson House to the Valley allows us to share our coastal hospitality with a broader audience, while we simultaneously gear up to unveil Drake’s Hollywood later this year.”

While Hudson House is still more than a year away, anticipation is already building for Drake’s Hollywood, which is expected to open this fall at the corner of Scottsdale Road and First Street in the heart of Old Town Scottsdale. The 8,000-square-foot restaurant will be the brand’s largest location to date, transporting guests to the glamour of 1930s and 1940s New York and Los Angeles through richly detailed interiors and an upscale dining experience.

Adding another layer of exclusivity, Drake’s Hollywood Scottsdale will also feature Maître D, a hidden invitation-only Members Lounge limited to just 100 members. Designed as a refined gathering place for business leaders, creatives and community connectors, the private lounge aims to create an intimate setting where networking and conversation take center stage.
With Drake’s Hollywood set to debut later this year and Hudson House following in 2027, Arizona diners can look forward to several new additions that promise to bring a taste of East Coast-inspired hospitality and classic American dining to the local restaurant scene.
