California Wives @ The Rhythm Room

California Wives plays at the Rhythm Room on Tuesday, July 23. Their unique indie rock sound mixed with electronic synths and floating melodies has made a profound mark on the underground music community. Their debut album, Art History, dropped in September 2012 on Vagrant Records. My Gold Mask opens the show at 8 p.m., tickets cost $12.

Rancid and The Transplants @ The Marquee Theatre

Legendary punk rockers Rancid play at the Marquee theater Wednesday July 24 with The Transplants, The Interrupters and Bricktop. The show starts at 6 p.m. presale tickets are $25.

Wednesday, July 24 Kid Rock’s rebellious mix of rock, country and blues takes the stage in west Phoenix. Kool & the Gang and  Uncle Kracker start the show at 7 p.m., tickets cost $30- $50.

DJ Tranzit “Crank the Volume 2” CD Release Party @ Smashboxx

Electro house takes over Smashboxx on Saturday, July 27 for the official release party of DJ Tranzit’s new mix. Opening sets include music from DJ Circle, Ravazza and Body Trick. The first 100 people through the door get a complimentary copy of the new CD.

The Dirty Heads and The Expendables @ The Marquee Theatre

Reggae band the Dirty Heads Cabin by the Sea tour stops at the Marquee on Saturday, July 27 with guests the Expendables, Big B and Clairevoyant.  Doors open at 6 p.m., the show starts at 7:30 p.m. Advanced tickets cost $30, tickets at the door will cost $35 — all ages welcome.
