If you’re hosting a spooky party or a frightfully flavorful dinner event, then we’ve got a few cocktails that will bring you back to life. From a sweet vodka concoction to a bitter, black beverage, these drinks will top off any scary night.

The Witch’s Heart

  • 1 oz. apple flavored vodka, chilled
  • 1 tsp. grenadine
  • Purple Viniq, chilled
  • Powdered dry ice (optional)

Add 1/2–1 tsp. of powdered dry ice to the bottom of the glass (optional). Pour vodka and Viniq to fill the martini glass (do not fill to brim). Pour 1 tsp. of grenadine about one inch from the surface of the drink; the grenadine should sink to the bottom, creating a “bleeding” effect. Next, add about 1/2 tsp powdered dry ice on top and serve with a stirrer so guests can stir the potion to create a smokey effect.

Caramel Apple Sangria

  • 1 liter bottle of white wine
  • 8 cups fresh apple cider
  • 1 cup unflavored or caramel vodka
  • 4-5 apples, chopped
  • 1/4 cup caramel syrup (plus more for garnishing)

Place chopped apples in the bottom of a large pitcher. Drizzle the caramel syrup over top. Next, add white wine, apple cider and vodka, stir well to combine. Refrigerate at least four hours before serving or overnight. Before serving, swirl caramel syrup around the inside of a glass. Fill with chilled sangria, including apples.

The Black Beard

  • 1 oz. spiced rum
  • .5 oz. Fernet Branca
  • 1.5 oz. creme de cacao
  • 1/8 tsp squid ink (optional) or black food coloring
  • .5 oz. chocolate stout

Add spiced rum, Fernet Branca and creme de cacao to a cocktail shaker. Next, add squid ink. Give the ingredient a hard, dry shake (no ice). Next, fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously for 30 seconds until the drink is cold and frothy. Double strain into a chilled cocktail glass and top with chocolate stout.

Potion de Muerto

  • 2 oz. Hornitos Black Barrel Tequila
  • .5 oz. beet juice
  • .75 oz. fresh orange juice
  • .75 oz. fresh lemon juice
  • .75 oz. agave syrup
  • 2 dashes orange bitters

Combine all ingredients except beet juice in a cocktail shaker filled with ice and shake vigorously. Strain into a highball glass over crushed ice and slowly float the beet juice over the ice, allowing the juice to make its way down the glass and appear as blood is dripping through the drink. Garnish with an orange slice and serve.

Beetlejuice

halloween-cocktails

  • .5 oz. vodka
  • .5 oz. melon liquer
  • .5 oz. blue curacao
  • .5 oz. raspberry juice
  • .5 oz. cranberry juice
  • Sweet n Sour mix

Fill a tall glass with ice. Pour vodka over ice and fill glass three-fourths full with sweet n sour mix. Next, pour in the ingredients one at a time.
