A real treat for the senses, Cirque Dreams Illumination brings acrobatics, music and more to the Valley this week.

Starting today, Nov. 9, a new eye-popping presentation is about to dazzle the Valley. Cirque Dreams Illumination opens at Mesa Arts Center for two days only (Nov. 9 and 10) before heading to Phoenix’s Orpheum Theater (Nov. 11-14) for afternoon and evening shows. For six days, Cirque Dreams Illumination with entertain its guests with unbelievable stunts and acrobatics, amazing choreography, music that includes jazz, salsa, ballroom and pop, can’t-miss costumes and much more.

Illumination is the brainchild of Neil Goldberg, creator of the groundbreaking hit, Cirque Dreams Jungle Fantasy. (Jungle Fantasy was the first and only show of its kind to be performed on Broadway.) “Cirque Dreams Illumination follows in the spirit of the Cirque Dreams entertainment brand first established in 1993…to produce high-quality, affordable family entertainment that blends multiple performance genres and Broadway theatrics with international talent, European and American circus artistry and limitless imagination,” Goldberg says.

Goldberg’s Illumination is a combination of imagination and theatrical innovation, presenting a story that sheds light on a city of everyday people as they perform feats of disbelief. These incredible feats are acted out by of world-class artists who illuminate objects, balance on wires, leap structures and redefine flight with entertaining variety, comedy and extraordinary occurrences. Valley dwellers might even recognize the talents of Cirque Dreams star Robert Muraine, former "So You Think You Can Dance" contestant.
