Occupation: Writer/Editor at PHXNOIR, Project Manager at Accurate Mailing Services, Freelance web designer and marketing consultant, Consultant for Fresh+Proper, Marketing Manager at Teddy Bear Bunco Benefit for Homeless Children

Goals & Aspirations:

This subject is more fit for a novel, so I’ll keep it to just one goal: I would like to change the overall negative opinion of the valley in regards to our lack of culture.  Phoenix has great food, good bars, a booming art scene and a growing fashion scene.  Unfortunately, even the people who have helped curate the small bits of shining culture we have tend to look towards other metropolitan areas with envy and jealousy.

Hobbies:

Studying Advertising and Web Design, Writing Playing Music, Reading Charles Bukowski, Meeting people and enjoying life.

Religious Views:

Typically Christian with dollop of existential nihilism

Special Skills or Traits:

Smart and well-spoken, Upbeat, Natural Leader, Playful demeanor.  Consistently sarcastic.

Tell us about your family.

My family extraordinarily normal yet wonderful.    My parents and sister recently moved to the Portland area, which kept us apart on Christmas. Luckily, I still have family in town with my Grandparents, who I have a very strong relationship with (everyone pretty much agrees, they are the best people in the world, such as grandparents should be).  I am the only person I know that has actual conversation with my Grandmother.  Whether the subject is about business, politics, life, girls, etc.  We actually connect not only as family but as friends as well.  My Grandfather is endlessly intriguing.  He introduced me to computers as a toddler, something that continues to interest me today.  He also discovered the worlds largest saguaro with my cousin Chris and has recently gotten into photography.  I blame him for my endless curiousity and constant desire to learn about new topics.   I consider myself an only child even though I have a sister.  Jessica is 13 years my junior and is an aspiring writer.

Give us a short & sweet description of your love life: Myopic.

Why haven’t you found “the one”?

I'm typically not focused on myself.  When I meet a woman, its usually within the confines of business and I prefer not to let those contacts fray due to attempted romance.

Give us three words that describe you. Entrepreneurial, Energetic, Considerate.

What is your “type”?

I don’t know if I’ve dated enough to have type.  I tend to fall for independent girls with a sense of humor.

Personality Turn-Ons:

Independence, Ambition, Gregariousness.

Personality Turn-Offs:

Crude humor, a desire for constant validation

Physical Appearance Likes:

I prefer a pretty face over a hot body.   A tendency towards sundresses and red lips is a plus 

Physical Appearance Dislikes:

Disheveled appearance.

What are your deal-breakers?

(Religion, Geographical requirements, etc.) Style over substance. Dependency.

What is the one trait you need a significant other to have?

Independence.  I want a girl to have her own friends, ambitions and desires.  Having too many similarities seems to lead to stagnation within the relationship.  I'd like for our two separate lives to meet in one glorious Venn diagram.
