Ring in 2012 in AZ style!  Check out the hottest places around town to toast at midnight.

Still stomped on what to do for NYE?  Well, of course AZ has a bunch of options for anyone looking for luck in 2012.

First, if you’re craving a Valley escape, head to Sedona.  Opt for a weekend retreat at the AAA Four Diamond Amara Resort and Spa—it’s hosting a Red Rockin’ New Year’s Eve bash at its Hundred Rox restaurant.  Indulge in an all-inclusive overnight package with room, dinner for two, entertainment by guitarist Anthony Mazzela, a midnight champagne toast, New Year’s Day breakfast, and a late check-out.  You’ll dance the night away after eating a fabulous final 2011 supper, including roasted apple and parsnip bisque, wild arugula salad, lemon sorbet, and a choice of entrée- prime rib, shrimp scampi, Cornish game hen or petite Filet Mignon and Lobster tail. (Sign me up!)

Or, simply stick around town.

If you want a super savvy NYE, head to The W Scottsdale.  You can mix, mingle, and celebrate the start of 2012 at the AAA Four Diamond property’s annual Cirque Nouveau. The vibrant celebration is the place to be seen, featuring live music and an electrifying Old Town’s only firework display at midnight.  There will be nearly 1,000 Valley gals and guys at this soiree, dancing to tunes courtesy of  DJ Soulman on the turntables.  Tickets start at $75.

And if you want to make a night of it, $519 will get you tickets to the party, a top hat and feather head flair, a split of bubbly, a hosted pre-party reception, and a wonderfully contemporary room.

But if Old Town’s just not your thing, head to one of my personal fave’s: Talking Stick Resort.  (That’s where the fiancé popped the question!)  It’s one of AAA’s newest Four Diamond Hotels, and its holding Raven’s 6th Annual New Year’s Eve Gala. This Monte Carlo-Style black tie affair is elegant and classy, including an appetizer buffet, 2 full bars, cocktail specials, fabulous entertainment, and an extra-large dance-floor.  Tickets are $50/person or $90/couple.  FYI, according to AAA, the hotel is booked solid, so you’ll want to designate a safe ride home.

Finally, another fabulous NYE option: Hotel Valley Ho.  The AAA Four Diamond hotel is hosting a "Shake & Twist Like '56" bash. First, fill up on a four-course dinner with Henriot Champagnes and Grey Goose vodka drink pairings. After eating, rock around the clock with dancing in the ZuZu Lounge. And when the clock strikes 12, party-goers can toast on the rooftop flaunting the most fabulous views.  Dinner seatings are: 6:30pm at $95 per person, and 9:30pm at $125 per person.  Plus, you can book special room rates starting at $229.
