It's the place to be seen this weekend.  Here's your Phoenix Fashion Week sneak preview...

Attention LA and NY:  Add AZ to the hot list.  It’s Phoenix Fashion Week, and the Valley sure knows how to rock the runway.  It’s the 7th annual event for all savvy fashionistas—organizers expect it to be the biggest year yet…more than 8,000 attendees.  The event kicked off Wednesday, October 5th, but the stylish soiree continues through the weekend.

More than 200 daring designers applied to showcase their stuff, but only 34 made the cut.  The must-see event highlights 24 established designers, plus 10 who are up-and-coming.  You’ll also see more than 100 accessory professionals flaunt their products.

The action-packed array of shows and parties are being held at Scottsdale’s Talking Stick Resort, a chic venue for the stylish rendezvous.  The glitzy extravaganza aims to advance Arizona’s reputation as a national fashion hub.

Here’s what attendees can expect—tons of fashion shows, fashion seminars, and VIP after-parties.  There will also be designer and model contests.  Just take your pick between the ten talented emerging designers…Deeds of Love, Dejamone, Sebastien Millon, Blue Bird Denim, inDi, Mabella Chic, Hour Glass Apparel, Diary of Joli, Jones Select, and Silvia Bours.

And you can consider Phoenix Fashion Week to be your sneak-peak into what’s hot for Spring 2012.  Organizers say you’ll see a lot of salmon-colored flare and mini-dresses—perfect for the Valley’s sunny temps.  And for guys, going nautical is topping the cool list.

And turns out, you can score that runway look.  PFW’s Style Villa takes place at 5pm each night of the three-day spread.  The sophisticated shopping area in the lower atrium-courtyard inside Talking Stick—that’s where you’ll find glamorous items galore.  You’ll be able to check out fabulous booth vendors and get up-close and personal with the designers.  Local boutiques and stylish brands will also be available to satisfy all Valley shoppers’ needs.

Phoenix Fashion Week is completely open to the public and tickets range from $25-$60.  For more information, visit www.phoenixfashionweek.com.
