Stressed?  Try acupuncture!  Skeptical?  Check out why it's a must-try cure to just about anything...

Problems at work?  Kids driving you nuts?  Can’t pay your bills?  Turns out you’re not the only one…

According to some studies, 75% of Americans experience moderate or high levels of stress every two weeks.  To make matters worse, stress contributes to heart disease, high blood pressure, stroke, and other serious illness.  And to top things off, it contributes to alcoholism, obesity, drug addiction, and other harmful behavior.

I know—total buzz kill.

HOWEVER, there’s an ancient practice many doctors say is a cure-all when it comes to stressing out—and that’s acupuncture.

“It’s a non-surgical treatment that reduces pain and stress,” said Dr. Thomas Tuzzolino, owner, North Scottsdale Family Chiropractic.

Dr. Tuzzolino spends his 9-5 cracking backs and performing acupuncture treatments.  He runs his biz out of North Scottsdale, tending to Valley stressors.

“Stress causes the body to work improperly.  This takes a toll on aching, not being able to get pregnant, and physical discomfort,” he said.

Yes, stress is the root of all evil—and acupuncture is targeting just that.

Dr. T says the 10-30 minute treatment applies specific stimulation to certain areas of the body.  In turn, energy is released causing a comforting factor, making stress seem like a mere bad memory.

And even if you’re a skeptic, you might want to consider giving acupuncture a go.

The doctor applies a number of thin needles scattered around specific areas throughout the body.  You might feel a slight pinch, but 95% of people say it doesn’t hurt.

“The needles are about the size of a strand of hair.”

The safe and comfortable method targets your problem spots; for example, there are certain pressure points for your bladder or intestine.  Some patients claim they’ll feel instant gratification—an outpouring of negative energy being released from the body; while others say it takes consistency to feel results.

“It all depends on the person and the problem.”

Problems like pregnancy.  Dr. T says habitual acupuncture sessions can help boost your chances of having a baby.  It also helps patients simply in pain.

“I had one woman who couldn’t move her shoulder.  After 3 treatments, she was all good.”

The application averages about $50 per session.  However, the doctor suggests forming an acupuncture ritual, as it works best when repeated consistently.

“I’d start off with 3 times a week, and gradually go down to once a week.”

Your body will also see positive physiological responses—you’ll release endorphins…and that helps with pain.  It also increases a steady blood flow, often curing skeletal conditions.

“It’s very effective.”

However, if you’re a little iffy about needles, the doctor offers an additional two methods.  You can always opt for acupuncture via touch or laser.
