Rachel Roland is a mom on a mission - exploring beautiful Arizona (and beyond!) with her two little companions, Jeremiah and Sarah, in search of the best restaurants, attractions, and products for you and your children. See what she has in store for your family today!

SEA LIFE Arizona has so many exciting things coming up, even though school is back in session!  I can't wai to share them with you.   First, they have great classes starting next week on September 11th called Mommy & Me Under the Sea.  At $50 for a four-week class, this is a great deal, especially if you have an older child in school and a younger child at home who would love to go to 'school,' too.  (Trust me, I know  how it is!)  A parent or guardian attends the classes with the child, which include a guided activity in the Sea Life Aquarium, a craft geared toward that weeks theme, as well as all-day entry into the Sea Life Arizona Aquarium.  If you have more than one child (over 3 years), you can add them, too, for only another $10.  Visit the website to reserve your spot - I have a feeling these will fill up quickly!

In addition to the "Mommy & Me" classes, on September 15th from 7am-12pm, Sea Life Arizona is partnering with the Arizona Game & Fish Department to offer a free fishing clinic at Papago Ponds (near the zoo, at 625 N. Galvin Parkway).  There will be fishing poles to borrow, instruction on proper fishing techniques and regulations, as well as games to play and fun prizes to win!  With the weather seemingly starting to cool down (YES!) this should be a gorgeous and fun day to spend the day fishing with your kids or grandkids.  I am not a fisherwoman myself, and Jeremiah and Sarah always seem so intrigued by it, and I think they'd have a blast at this fun event!

Finally, from September 16th-22nd, Sea Life Arizona is hosting Pirate Week.  If you dress like a pirate, you get $5 off your admission!  There will be treasure hunts, a pirate fight underwater (Sept 19th at 10:30am) and more.  Right now, Sarah's quite obsessed with pirates, so I think we just might have to visit the aquarium during pirate week.

Sea Life Arizona Aquarium is inside the Arizona Mills Mall, 5000 S. Arizona Mills Circle.
