Reserve Tickets in Advance - As one of the most in-demand Christmas attractions around the world, the Grand Canyon Railway’s Polar express is likely to sell out early into the season!  In fact, it is estimated that over a half a million passengers climb aboard each season! Plan ahead to book tickets early in the fall! It is especially fun to go with a group of friends, so plan accordingly!  If you are traveling with a crew, be sure you are all on the same train cart!  Polar Express Williams rund through January 2020!

Read the Book and Watch the Movie!  Although absolutely not necessary to have a jolly ole time, the details will be even more meaningful during your Polar Express experience if you know the story beforehand.

Wear PJ’s – Upon heading to the Christmas train, you will quickly notice most passengers, from babies to grandparents, are wearing Christmas jammies! As a favored part of the book, this has also become a Polar Express tradition all over the country!

Be Prepared That This Is about The Journey! The train is headed to The North Pole, where Santa is busy at work.  But on the Grand Canyon Railway Polar Express, the 90-minute journey is all the fun!

  • The Polar Express Chef’s will be ready to greet you as you navigate to your seats.
  • Chefs dance up and down the aisles to Hot Chocolate, a signature song from The Polar Expressmovie while serving hot chocolate and freshly baked chocolate chip cookies.
  • Sing and dance to your favorite holiday songs (our cart turned into a full-blown dance party!)

  • Children can get immersed into a reading along to The Polar Express book by Chris Van Allsburg.

  • A nod to the book and movie and super exciting to all little ones, the Train Conductor will animatedly walk through and punch everyone’s train ticket.
