Every day, we make thousands of decisions.  From what shoes to wear and when to eat, to what car to buy and where to live.  Each one of these decisions has a driving force behind it that spurs each of us into action.

At The Dream Rooms, passion is the driving force that has led so many to donate their time, resources, and energies.  It’s a passion that comes from seeing women who have been bound to the shackles of injustice and sexual exploitation from human trafficking in our local community and determining to make a difference.

“The injustice of sex trafficking is revolting, especially considering the entry age of so many of these women.  To act in a way that provides an opportunity to remove these women from this difficult life situation was very easy to embrace” said Nils Wang, CEO ofWang Electric Systems, a local company which provides residential and commercial lighting control services and system programming to the Valley, who donated labor and materials for all power and lighting for the Dreams Rooms designed by Treken Design, Vallone Design, Amelia Kizerian, TM Design, and Karen Rapp Interiors.   Wang hopes that getting his staff involved in the Dream Room Project will help them to understand his feelings on social responsibility and giving back to the community for positive change.  “I believe that good businesses have a social responsibility to participate in community service projects.  This project fit well into my passions and gave the company the opportunity to engage our employees to donate their time for a very worthy cause.”

Kent Sexton, President ofSexton Services, a full-service pest, landscape and HVAC Company in Phoenix, didn’t have to think twice when the opportunity was presented to him. “We are constantly looking for ways to give back to the community who has given us so much over the past 52 years.  When this opportunity was presented to us, there was no hesitation.  We were 110% in from day one.  We truly love serving the community.”  Indeed, that was clearly evident in the donation of not only the labor but all the equipment necessary for the heating and air conditioning systems by Sexton Services for all ten Dream Rooms.

Indeed, the call to community involvement has been so pronounced throughout this entire journey.  It only takes a quick moment for anyone who has visited The Dream Rooms Project to see that this is one community, working to accomplish a common goal, propelled forward by a common passion.

A special thank you to all those who have worked on this project, especially to ESSCO Electric Supply, CED Scottsdale, QED Electric, Crescent Electric Supply Company, and HD Electric Supply.
