The Phoenix Film Festival presents, "It's In The Blood."

One year after a cataclysmic incident that tore their family apart, father (Russell) and son (October) embark on a journey into the wild to reconcile their past. When the horrors of their history come back to haunt them, Russell and October must confront their differences in order to escape with their lives as they become stranded in the wilderness. When a horrifying accident leaves Russell injured, it’s up to the son to save them both. But when they start to deteriorate so does their concept of reality. They soon appear to experience supernatural behavior. Ghostly apparitions and horrifying creatures start to form. Is it all in their heads or is the truth far more painful to comprehend?

“It’s In The Blood” is a film starring veteran actor Lance Henriksen, in association with Greenhouse Studios and Spiderwood Studios. It is a heart wrenching, seat clenching, Sci-Fi horror film. At its core, a father-son story that will leave you breathless. The film is a deconstruction of the prototypical “creature-feature,” incorporating elements of mystical realism and psychological thriller. First time film makers Scooter Downey and Sean Elliot call it a Psyche-Saga.

Born and raised in Louisville, Ky., and best friends since kindergarden, Sean Elliot and Scooter Downey co-wrote and produced the film. Spiderwood studios provided the cinematic backdrop with a full service production facility on 200 acres of diverse terrain along the Colorado River. Greenhouse Studios, a Los Angeles production company provided post production services and additional support.
