It’s that time of year again ASU Sun Devils, football season kicks off tonight. Prepare yourself for the season opener as ASU takes the field against UC-Davis at 7 pm. Are you ready to tailgate?
Last season ASU ended 2010 on a high note with a double-overtime road win over rival Arizona 30-29. ASU fans can expect another season filled with exciting games such as this one. Especially with a 7-game home schedule including Top 25 preseason ranked Missouri, USC, new Pac-12 foe Colorado, and traditional rival Arizona. The team received inaugural season of the Pac-12. Along with the win over Arizona, ASU finished 2010 strong by winning 3 of final 5 games.
The Sun Devils are prepared to take the field with a solid team. In national preseason polls the team has been ranked in the Top 20. ASU welcomes back nearly 30 seniors and more than 20 juniors for the 2011 season. Fans have been buzzing about the team’s new logo and uniforms introduced April 12th. The uniforms consist of four helmets (white, black, maroon, and gold), three jerseys (white, black, and maroon) and four pants (white, maroon, gold, and black). ASU fans can partake in the debut of these new black uniforms Friday, September 9th during an ESPN national broadcast. Sun Devils are encouraged to “Black Out” Sun Devil Stadium by wearing the official Black Out t-shirts. The t-shirts are available online or in-stores for at Sparky’s Stadium Shop, Sun Devil Bookstores, and Cactus Sports.
