Hello all, this is my first of my year’s worth of blog posts about my adventures as the Face of Foothills 2012. So far, I am back in Tucson going to school for my last semester ever. Pretty weird. Going through the stages of denial, anxiety, and excitement to start my adventures past school life, which is all I know! No more numerous vacations to continuously look forward to, or awesome daily schedules that I can work around to go to the gym or develop random hobbies or cruise Netflix in my spare time.  Everyone’s been there, or will be at least. But, I have made my last year of school pretty memorable so far by winning the Face of Foothills and entering my first beauty pageant ever. Stepping out of my comfort zone and checking off my bucket list? Yes. And I can safely say I can be proud of myself. I have also met some amazing people along the way, and discovered even more about myself. Mainly my own shortcomings along with my capabilities, the latter I think is the hardest for people to admit.

Another amazing plus for 2012? My mother will be receiving a kidney transplant from my very own brother. 2012 seems to be shaping to be a wonderful year already! As Face of Foothills I have already attended the Molina Holiday Gala in December, and Mr. Molina is fabulous! My fiancé and I chatted him up, and he is an awesome mentor. He recommended a few business reads, and we are currently reading a few by Napoleon Hill. I highly recommend, very good self-improvement reads. As far as my New Year’s resolutions, I’m still working on them, and I’m excited to update you on my work with Arizona Foothills! I absolutely love them, and enjoy reading about the myriad of topics they cover! For those that don’t know, it’s a family, and I’m proud to be a part of it now. Besides all the craziness and over-analyzing that the end of school will bring, I have a lot to look forward to, and in the mean time I have my little angel Snooki, (my Shitzu-Poodle), and my friends and family to vent to haha, and Snooki is the best because she is obviously a good listener! Regular trips to the dog park allow her a bit of escape from me as well, no worries!

So, as I sign off, I figured I could offer up some things I’ve learned this month, and offer some challenges for you as well. I’ve learned this month that sometimes you have to do things for yourself because you only live life once with the opportunities you are given to do them, and the worst thing you could do is regret. Stop overanalyzing what people think of you, and live like you were born to do. Find something beautiful and bask in it. Live in the moment and do not second-guess your motives, you are generally right. From my mother, I have learned to not take your own life too lightly, know your own worth. Take up a new hobby, and dedicate time for your life to be amazing! Until next time folks, lyl.

Love, the Face of Foothills 2012.
