The Mothers' Guild of Xavier College Preparatory will host its 39th Annual Holiday Dinner and Auction on Saturday, November 12, 2011 at 5:30 p.m. on Xavier's campus.  The event, Miracle on 7th Street, will feature a silent auction with over 500 items, a formal dinner and live auction, and a special performance by legendary classical guitarist Esteban.

"The Xavier community will treasure this performance by Esteban," said Jolene Walker, event co-chair, "and we'll value the gift of his performance for generations to come!"

All proceeds from Miracle on 7th Street will benefit the construction of the new Xavier Chapel, Founders Hall, and Petznick Field. Founders Hall is a multi-purpose building that will include much-needed community space, classrooms, and meeting venues for the school's more than 75 extracurricular clubs and activities and its 24 sports teams.

This event began as a holiday craft boutique in 1972, and has evolved into one of the community's favorite holiday traditions. Among this year's auction items are a seven-day trip to Italy; a guided adventure at Hubbards Yellowstone Lodge inMontana; a pilgrimage to Lourdes, France; a Greenskeeper Package for Waste Management's Phoenix Open; use of Xavier College Preparatory's marquee for a day; several highly-coveted parking spaces on the Xavier campus; an opportunity to dine with the Sisters of Charity of the Blessed Virgin Mary; and many, many others.
