Shop and Receive Arizona Science Center Tickets

Desert Ridge Marketplace and Tempe Marketplace are helping parents sneak in science and treat their kids to fun and valuable learning at the same time. Shoppers who spend $200 or more in the same day at the same shopping center can earn extra credit with two tickets to the Arizona Science Center (a $36 value), Customers can spend the day shopping, dining and taking in a flick, then swap their receipts at the centers’ Management Office for two free tickets to Arizona’s best spot for engaging young minds. Arizona Animal Welfare League Urgently Needs Dog Food

The Arizona Animal Welfare League is making an urgent plea to the community. They have completely run out of wet dog food that they use to help their skinny dogs put on much needed weight and their sick dogs take medicine. This food is used every day and is especially important for dogs who have been abandoned and/ or abused to make sure they are getting proper nutrients to heal.

The Arizona Animal Welfare League is asking the community to make donations of the wet dog food, preferably chicken flavored. You can have it delivered or drop it off to their main location at 25 N. 40th St. in Phoenix.

 

Sept. 3: OdySea Aquarium Opens

The opening of the highly anticipated OdySea Aquarium is planned for Saturday, Sept. 3. Located at the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community, it is the largest aquarium in the Southwest, spanning 200,000 square feet.
