Get your morning wakeup call with a new brunch menu and Bloody Mary Bar at the Windsor. This morning movement made its debut on Sunday and will continue every Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Come in your pj’s, shades and flip flops to start your weekend off right with sweet and savory menu bites like homemade doughnut holes, Southern-style sausage and gravy, and the always-classic Windsor eggs benedict. Looking for a lighter lift to your weekend? Try the quinoa oatmeal—a warm blend of black quinoa and steel cut oats topped with vanilla mascarpone, brown sugar, dried fruits and nuts. If these aren’t sure to satisfy the senses, perhaps their lovely little pricetags will. The Easy Rider Frittata, with roasted zucchini, tomatoes, fennel, red onion, red pepper and spinach topped with Spanish goat cheese and herbs comes in at just under $10.
We know every weekend wouldn’t be complete without a little spike in our day, so what better to pair our morning meals with an outstanding beverage selection. Alongside the staple fruit juices and espresso drinks, indulge in the Windsor’s signature $5 Pitchas of Beer or Prohibition-style cocktails, also $5. Now for the kicker. The Bloody Mary Bar begins with one of the two types of Bloody Marys—wheather the Traditional with tomatoes, roasted vegetables, Fresno chiles and fresh horseradish or the Verde with cucumbers, roasted poblano, cilantro and watercress. From there, head over to the do-it- yourself cart where you can trick out your cocktail with a selection of spices, salts, pickles and garnishes. www.windsoraz.com. –Kirstina Bolton
