Heritage Kitchen + Cocktails, the eagerly anticipated modern American restaurant with coastal Mediterranean influences, is now welcoming diners to North Scottsdale.
The restaurant is the vision of veteran restaurateur Eric J. Greenwald, investor Mark Goldberg, and Executive Chef Christopher Brugman, whose accolades include James Beard Taste America, a feature in Food & Wine magazine, and a finalist appearance on Food Network’s Chopped.
Heritage will showcase dishes made with fresh seafood, premium meats, and locally sourced, seasonal produce, focusing on bold flavors and inviting presentations inspired by Southern Italy and Spain.

A highlight of the menu is Brugman’s Piatta, a signature dough perfected over 14 years and adapted for Heritage Kitchen + Cocktails’ eight-foot-long hearth. Crafted with artisanal flour from Italy and a meticulous three-day fermentation process, the bread exemplifies the restaurant’s dedication to craft and detail.

The menu elevates familiar comfort foods into globally inspired creations, offering small plates such as aged beef tartare, grilled or freshly shucked oysters, mezze platters, and Spanish octopus.
Seasonal dishes highlight ingredients like heirloom tomatoes with burrata, Duncan Farms melons with crushed pistachio and melon vinaigrette, and roasted cauliflower with brown butter and Sardinian vinaigrette.

Artisan pizzas and pastas include lobster “fideo” paella with saffron, garlic, and lemon, Dungeness crab tortelloni, and wood-fired pizzas such as sausage and fennel with Calabrian chili honey, alongside a rotating seasonal market pizza.
Heritage cuts include Linz cowboy ribeye, Barolo-braised short rib, whole market fish, and Two Wash Ranch half chicken, while desserts feature indulgent options like banana and Nutella tart, passion fruit curd with coconut sorbet and almond dacquoise, and classic tiramisu.

Even the kids’ menu is elevated, with approachable options such as chicken parmesan with rigatoni, macaroni and cheese with seasonal vegetables, and grilled chicken breast with mashed potatoes.
“Our menu is designed to bring people together through food that feels familiar yet exciting,” Chef Brugman said. “The cocktail program builds on that same philosophy, giving our guests a complete dining experience that’s both approachable and unforgettable.”

The cocktail program, created in partnership with Mitch Lyons and Libby Lingua of the acclaimed Highball and Two Hands Phoenix, reflects the same creativity and precision as the kitchen. Featuring 12 signature cocktails, the bar offers bright and refreshing, bold and complex.
Guests can enjoy interactive options like “Choose Your Own Adventure,” which allows customization of base spirits in select cocktails, along with opportunities for bespoke creations.

“In creating this program, we wanted to design cocktails that were not only perfectly drinkable but also thoughtfully aligned with the menu,” Lingua said. “Each drink is meant to complement the food, enhance the experience, and spark conversations and connections that are at the heart of Heritage.”
Heritage Kitchen + Cocktails will feature warm wood tones, sleek accents, a striking wine display, and an expansive indoor-outdoor bar with more than 1,500 square feet of patio dining, offering a welcoming space for guests to savor its globally inspired offerings.
