Sharon Bondurant founded her recruiting firm, The Finders, back in 1998 from the floor of her spare bedroom while her infant son slept. They have organically grown into a twice-named Inc. 5000 firm that has placed over 6,000 people (mostly in Arizona) in Tech, HR, and Finance. At its core, The Finders is about being human, being thoughtful, and building what actually works – for candidates and for the companies they partner with.
“I’ve spent years in this industry, through strong markets and hard ones, and that longevity has shaped how I operate. We don’t chase trends or quick wins. We focus on clarity, trust, and doing the work the right way, especially for growing companies and teams here in Arizona,” Bondurant said. “What I’m most proud of is the reputation we’ve built. Clients come to us when the hire actually matters, and candidates trust us because we’re honest and transparent about what’s real.”
Bondurant is passionate about building something sustainable: relationships, careers, and a business that lasts.
AZF: What is your “life motto”?
Be human. Be thoughtful. Build what actually works.
AZF: Did you always know that you wanted to be an entrepreneur? If not, when did you realize that it was the right path for you?
I have known it since I was four years old. I remember trying to write out exercise plans, come to think of it. Although my business has nothing to do with fitness, my favorite place outside of work and family is the gym!
AZF: How do you feel best supported?
I seek out places where I can be around successful, driven, positive people.
AZF: What motivates you to keep going amidst the challenges that come with being an entrepreneur?
Very often, I have to dig deep to get that motivation because it does not come easily. I have quit things in my head so many times… but then I put on my “big girl pants” and keep going!

AZF: Describe your perfect Saturday morning.
Coffee with my fiance while we play with our two French Bulldogs, followed by a beautiful hike in our hometown of Cave Creek, breakfast with our boys, chill time, and a touch workout in the afternoon.
AZF: What’s one piece of advice you’d give to a young entrepreneur who is just starting out?
Don’t let money drive you to what you want to start. Go with what you feel passionate about, and the money will come.
AZF: What excites you most about being an entrepreneur?
I love challenging myself to go beyond what feels comfortable in growing a business and positively impacting as many people as possible.
