At 12-years-young, Charlie never imagined he would be back at the Arizona Humane Society looking for a new forever home. Unfortunately, he has been in the care of the shelter since June after his owner fell ill and was no longer able to care for him.

The sweet Labrador Retriever has a longstanding history with the Arizona Humane Society after he was originally adopted in 2014 after being rescued as a stray. Now that he is back, adorable Charlie has been treated for some tummy issues as well as a bit of a puppy cold.

As a senior, Charlie would love nothing more than a loving family that allows him to go on walks and get lots of treats in his golden years. From riding in the car to snuggling up next to his people, this adorable senior is hoping to have a relaxed life where he can get all the cuddles, love and pets.

In an effort to help more pets find homes, the Arizona Humane Society is hosting $0 adoptions for all pets 1 year and older, along with 50% off adoption fees for pets under a year through Sunday, August 2nd. Calling all Boxer lovers! Regardless of if you prefer the breed or not, how could anyone not fall absolutely head over heels for this wrinkly faced pup?!

At six-years-old, Frankie found his way to the Arizona Humane Society in early June after his previous family were evicted and could not bring him with. Thankfully, local police were notified of this and they transferred him into the care of the shelter where he has received medical treatment for tummy issues and a puppy cold.

Now that he is feeling better, Frankie has shown himself to be a huge cuddle bug who loves to give slobbery kisses in between chasing tennis balls. Although he has a gray muzzle, that has not stopped him from showing off his amazing tricks, how well he walks on a leash, what a gentleman he is in a home environment and more! Frankie is a perfect example of amazing pets who continue to be overlooked and stay on the adoption floor a little bit longer than others but that does not mean he is not just as deserving of a loving forever home.

Truly a gem in every way, Diamond is an extremely special pup who is patiently waiting for her forever home at the Arizona Humane Society. As with many pets who have made their way to Valley shelters, this adorable five-year-young Shepherd mix found her way to the shelter after her previous family could not afford her medical care.

Diamond’s previous family became worried about her after she lost her appetite and was no longer eating. Thinking she may have eaten something she should not have, they brought her to the Arizona Humane Society and surrendered her to ensure she got the help she needed. Luckily, x-rays revealed that this loving girl did not ingest anything she shouldn’t have but her bloodwork did reveal elevated protein levels which will need to be kept an eye on in the future.

Those who know this gentle pup say she is extremely calm, loves everyone she meets and fits in perfectly with everyone around her. While on Field Trips with volunteers, Diamond has also proven to be an extremely great walker, calm in the car and gets along great with kids and other dogs who match her serene lifestyle.

One of thousands of pets saved from suspected cruelty by Arizona Humane Society’s Animal Rescue and Cruelty Team each year, Sergio has been in and out of the care of the shelter since February of this year. When the sweet two-year-old was initially examined in the shelter’s trauma hospital, he originally was found to be healthy but unfortunately later came down with a puppy cold.

After being cleared from his cold, the cute cow-spotted pup was given extra attention from the Arizona Humane Society’s Behavior Team as he was very fearful from his previous experience with his family. After daily work to help him learn how to trust people, Sergio has now become an extremely loving and outgoing pup who is hoping to find a true forever home.

Now, Sergio is a very energetic pup who is looking for a family that loves going on walks, playing in the yard and may have a pup who matches his energy. A lover of giving kisses and walks, the pointy eared boy is waiting for the chance to prove how adorable he can be with a family that gives him the chance.

Adorable Payson and his family are just one example of those who have looked to this lifesaving program after his family unfortunately fell on hard times and in need of temporary placement for the sweet pup.

At five-years-young, the handsome Labrador Retriever is hoping for a loving Foster Hero that can help him while his family works to get on their feet. With no history of illness or injuries, this gorgeous doggo needs someone that can help him feel at home and perhaps lose a couple pounds to get to a healthier weight.

Project Home Away From Home is an essential part of supporting our community’s pet parents. This temporary foster program provides a safe haven for pet owners in a critical time of need and facing housing instability, domestic violence, other crises or even deployed with the military. For one night, some of the NFL's biggest stars traded game-day uniforms for aprons, serving dinner, mixing drinks and entertaining guests at The Guest House Scottsdale during the third annual Celebrity Waiter Night. Hosted by The Fair Catch Foundation in partnership with The Guest House Scottsdale and inKind, the June 27 event blended fine dining with fundraising. The charitable event welcomed more than 200 guests and raised $75,000 for Future Stars Inc., an Arizona nonprofit dedicated to helping inner-city youth pursue higher education opportunities with an emphasis on technology.
