A typical day in my life includes… taking our dogs for a walk, creating some fantastic work for our clients, cooking dinner (usually with some Hatch Green Chile in it), and hanging out with the dogs and fiancé. I find a lot of inspiration from other forms of media, so we like to watch movies and shows.

I was born… in Springfield, Missouri.

My favorite thing about Arizona… I can be golfing one day and snowboarding the next (in the winter, that is.)

I’m listening to… everything. While the soundtrack differs from day to day, music helps set the tone for my work, puts me in a creative mood, accompanies my drive home, and fuels workouts.

My family… is why I am who I am…and most people would tell you that’s a good thing.

If I could have dinner with anyone, it would be… Andy Reid. That man KNOWS his BBQ, and I’d love to pick his brain on food and football.

One thing I cannot live without… New Mexican food. It runs in my blood. We make our own red chile sauce every year. Carlsbad Tavern, Richardson’s, LOVECRAFT…we’ve got some amazing options here in the Valley.

When I was younger, I wanted to be… a zookeeper, a writer, a “businessman.”

I’m inspired by… the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Valley. I’m honored to serve as the President of the CONNECT board, and every minute you spend with the kids is completely inspiring.

The one person who motivates me is… my fiancé. We’re building our life together, and each day is a chance to put down another brick.

If I could change anything in the world, it would be… an instant form of transportation, so it would be easier to explore the world.

The perfect day would be… too short! I need a perfect week or month to knock out everything for it to be considered “perfect.”

My first job was… I started my own lawnmowing business when I was 10. It was called The Lawn Ranger.

My favorite escape… there’s a Japanese word, yūgen, that means “moments in life where what you are feeling transcends description.” It’s the closest word I’ve found to describe the feeling of escape that I love. It could be a beautiful night in Arizona, the feeling of dropping into the first run of the day on a mountain, driving through beautiful terrain, the perfect bite of brisket, or just being happy to sit on the couch next to your loved ones. Whenever I get that feeling, I take a deep breath and embrace that perfect escape. Dang, that was deep.

My life… is not as deep as my previous answer makes it seem. I’m lucky to get to spend it with caring people, doing good things, and having a great time.

I’m currently working on… having a wonderful wedding, an adventurous honeymoon, and continuing to develop the Creative department at Serendipit.

Always… believe.

Never… take for granted the blessings you have in life.

Favorite Quote… “When I choose to see the good side of things, I’m not being naive. It is strategic and necessary. It’s how I’ve learned to survive through everything.” – Everything Everywhere All At Once

Biggest Dream… when I have kids, I’d love to see a game with them at every stadium in whichever sport is their favorite. MLB, NFL, NBA, NHL, MLS…I’m game for them all.

My Pet Peeve(s)… people who chew with their mouths open. You know how it’s against the law in AZ to refuse to give someone a glass of water? I think it should be against the law to give any mouth-open-chewers food. The same concept applies to cars that drive right next to each other on highways for an extended period. They should have their licenses revoked.

Bio-on yourself/company: I’m the Creative Strategy Director for Serendipit Consulting in Phoenix, Arizona. A natural storyteller, I lead a team known for engaging consumers in unique and unexpected ways. Using my years of branding experience, I developed the proprietary Serendipit Brand Workshop, a uniquely creative experience for our clients. I also proudly serve as the President of the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Valley Connect Board.
